LanceCruiser and I are going to re-conquer Eagle meeting at the gate at 10:30 am. Anyone else welcome.

Poor Lance.... :(

....Was not a good day for Graham either but his truck is fine

Well I will admit thatI am Eagled out for a long time... That trail is a pita and the Gatekeeper is pretty gnarly. I managed to clear off a valve stem at the river crossing then replace it and reseat the bead only to peel off the same bead on the way out. The LC fell off the jack, but thanks to great teamwork from Lance, Steiger, and Al (jeeper who basically saved my ass twice- thank you Sir!) we made it out...

The 10 hours of Eagle, yeah was a long day.

I've never had any real problems going up Eagle, but like Sailor said the first obstable up the road is really damn nasty now. Plus side I got to use my winch for the first time.
Lance gashed a sidewall on his Coopers on that obstacle, then later Sailor sheared the valve stem at the creek crossing, and then blew the bead as mentioned.
Pics uploading, but the ledge on the trail from the creek down is still nasty too. Lancecruiser had a bit of a tumble.....
And I need to do some maintenance on my hi-lift as it saw a lot of use today and was a pain in the ass the whole time.

Yeah- my rig is running tip top- better than ever- I will admit that at the end when I popped that last bead I was about ready to throw a lit match and some gas in it. But thanks to good friends and teamwork we got through. The little guy did really well for a 10 hour experience but he was asleep on the way home pretty quick!

Yeah today was a bit of a s*** day for the Land Cruisers. Split my front passenger sidewall on the Gate Keeper and then Graham popped a valve stem at the bridge creek crossing. Then my roll over and then Graham's same front tire pops the bead. The good thing about today is that we made new friends. Big thanks to Al and his well equipped Jeep and everyone that stopped by and helped with the recovery. Time for a body swap ;)

Body swap? You goin' all Caitlyn Jenner on us? Dude - You have seen you calves, right?

That ARB snatch block Tetu overcharged me for 3 yrs ago finally got used!

Anyone need their winch christened, I guess my truck is good for that.

Call the Grammar Police " Dude - You have seen you calves, right? "

Your right, I couldn't successfully pull it off but you have the figure for it.

Just saw this and the pic on crackbook, so sorry to hear about the truck. Very lucky you didn't roll further down the hill and are OK. Is the truck worth repairing? Or is it too much damage? I think Eagle is still considered an fsr so it might be worth to go through icbc. Since it's a RHD they'll write it off, but you can buy it back and still keep all the good parts.
Sorry to hear it happened to you.
