My rig has retrofitted e-lockers front and rear with 5.29 gears. It was like this when I bought it. I broke a few teeth off the rear ring gear on the rear axle, so I bought another 5.29 e-locker used. I tried it out by plugging it up before install and it locked and unlocked just fine. After install, I tried it and it won't unlock-ideas?

Are you trying while driving? If it's sitting still it could just be bound up... If not, then it's a wiring issue I would think.... Or did you test the diff while out of the truck with the wiring all installed already?

Yes, while driving. Not wiring-I tested it on the wiring in the truck before install into the housing. It's all the same as the diff that came out. I'm now thinking that when I installed the e-locker skid, that maybe I got the motor out of time. Looks like maybe I'll be removing the actuator and trying to line the fork back up I guess?

Just curious why you think it's not unlocking? Is the light staying on? Or are you really sure it's still locked?

I don't use the factory light plug on the diff. But yeah, it's defintely locked from the chirp chirp of the tires.

Its been about two years from the time I put my e-locker in my 89 rearend, and I remember doing the same thing when I took it apart to see how things worked. I think I moved the fork over one way or the other and got lucky the first time, cause It really pops when it unlocks,I can hear it from inside the cab. good luck:cheers:

P.S. going back to chocolooco mnt. labor day weekend,
wanna ride
