DVD / Cup holder doors (1 Viewer)

So has anyone had experience fixing or the spring loaded doors on the DVD / Cup holder portion of our consoles? Mine is always in the open position. It would be nice to have them closed when leaving my truck for a couple days unattended. I would rather not spend $100 or more bucks on a new insert. Any advice would be greatly appreciate. I might try and post a video of what I am talking about as well.

Usually it is just a mess of junk stuck down behind the doors.

clean everything out of there and start over on the console. mine wouldn't open/close and it was something that had slipped behind the drawers. for the cup holders, that's just crud that gets down there.
