Searched, and couldn't find any answers.

While installing my front door speakers I accidentially bumped the seatback recline button for the drivers side seat. The switch works to recline the seat back, but won't move it back forward.

Luckily it's not gangsta-leaned back too much, but I'd prefer to move it more upright.

Any fixes? Way to manually adjust it?

Thanks,

-MK

Thanks for the link, but that appears to remedy the whole seat not going back or forth. My seat moves just fine, it's just the seat BACK that will not return upright.

I've had similar problems despite reinstalling my little white philips plug. Here's what I did to my driver's seat to make things right:

Detach the four bolts holding your seat and look underneath. You'll see that there are two different motors down there, one for back and forth and one for the recline feature.

I manually put the seat where I wanted it by turning the drive shafts that move the seat with a pair of vice grips. Once you get to a position that you're happy with, reinstall it with the cables unplugged. This way, the seat won't move at all if you lean into the truck and touch the buttons with your body, etc.

LC 80 electric seats are a PITA. I'd love to have manual ones instead.

Good luck.

Great, thanks for the response. I'll try doing that and removing the cables.

I have the same problem on my passenger seat. I unplugged the wires, reversed them and reattached them, the seat now works in the opposite direction. Find your sweet spot then unplug it. Not an electrician my guess.....bad ground, bad wire? Need some electrical peeps to fire away some advice. Good luck and standing by.

Same thing happened to mine a last year, i took the controls apart and it turned out to be the contact in the controls were broken. I can get the contact to work one way. I finally replaced the controls...yea it is a PITA.
