Oh and with the exchange rate being way in our favor it would be less than $30K. If I knew I was going to be here longer than 2 more years I would deal with the car payment.
Not worth 30K without the rear step. :hillbilly:

I prefer the style of South African 75 conversions - cleaner line to the rear of the cab, plus a step. Also prefer the early front end clip and dash - and you can actually get one into the USA without waiting 25 years.

I guess I have an "old school" mentality (comes with age) but I prefer the boxy look of the older 75 Series over the rounded (quasi Tacoma) look of the newer 79 Series. I would really like to see a detailed photo of the back seats to see how much leg room there is back there. Hopefully there is substantially more rear leg room than my BJ74.

Not sure about your BJ74, but the wheelbase of the 70 series wagon is 4" shorter than that of the 80 series wagon! I don't think I could even get my size 13 shoes past the narrow opening at the bottom of those rear doors.

Yes the older style African 4 door trucks are a lot better looking than the newer ones.....but I am a little bias!

Did you run out of film in your camera? : )

It's really quite long with the full size rear bed.

I am just the opposite .....
The short bed looks more proportional.
The same reason the 77 Series looks better than the 74 Series.

I have to agree with Charles on this one ....

Have you no pride?
Can't we all just get along????

I agree that it (short/tan) looks better than long/green, from some perspectives, but I question the utility of the smaller box. It also appears that the green rig looks to have a more spacious cab behind the rear edge of the rear door.

Like 'em both.

Perhaps we will get that ever elusive interior shot that shows the rear legroom. I know on my sons '07 Tacoma, the extra rear seat leg room is taken from the rear bed which is fairly short.

I like them both. In an ideal world, I could have both ... But the reality is I cannot.

How 'bout the green one's cab with the tan one's bed? ;)
