A guy local to me has a set of driveshafts from his '97 that I can get cheap.

Before I jump on it, can anybody say whether they are likely to fit my '94? Both are automatic transmissions. Both were originally non-locked diffs.

I ask because they have slightly different transmission versions.

Seems like a good thing to grab and rebuild as spares if they will fit.

Probably. The frames are all the same, and the t case crossmember bolts to the frame, and it dictates driveshaft length, so... Yeah

Do both models have Viscous coupling in the t-case?
I don't know, but I think so. I believe they both have the HF2AV which is viscous coupling.

I previously grabbed this someplace here on 'mud from someone smarter than me:
  • 1993 to 1994 4.5L with A442F mated to a HF2AV
  • 1995 to 1997 4.5L with A343F mated to a HF2AV

Run a part number search through the Toyota parts department

Good idea!

Looks like one should fit '91-97. And the other '93-97 (with ABS).
