Anytime I tow with the trailer I use my IR gun to check trailer bearings when I stop for gas or at a rest area. Every time.

I also use it around the house for checking leaks around doors and windows. But main reason I got it was for cooking I grill and smoke a lot and I mean a lot. All of my cooking temperature measuring devices are ThermoWorks not to be confused with the Amazon Chinese knockoffs.

They have sales often and I wait until they go on sale for half price which happens twice a year or so. That is when I picked up my IR gun for around $40

I carry a Thermapen in my camping cook kit along with grill grates

Smoking a $95 ribeye roast ThermoWorks remote monitoring unit. Too expensive to mess up

Great now I guess I should start checking the wheels on the GX as well as the trailer bearings. Not that it is exactly difficult with an IR gun LOL.

.....you can just touch them with your hands too....just sayin
i do it on the regular after driving for a while
checking is good

20 years working in the steam and engineering plants of ships I will say to use the back of your hand. And wash them after especially with salt and slush LOL

This is the cap I use with my Motive Bleeder on 460. Simpler plastic caps are used on other vehicles. It was about $45 in ‘19… a bit more now

Perfect, easy and solid fit. Lock the cams and then twist the black adjuster in the middle to tighten down the rubber seal.

"Power Probe BA10 Small Adapter for Toyota is a small adapter that fits Toyota and Lexus master cylinders with diameters of 1.65–1.83 inches. It features an expandable O-ring for a leak-free seal, 3 tab cam locks, and a 360 degree swivel automotive style air hose nipple. The BA10 is also color coded red to identify it as a Toyota brake adapter"

Thank you! Just ordered one!

I think that all of the advise given so far will take care of your issue, but I will say that back in the day, I had a 59 Ford 4X4 pickup. I did everything known to man to make the left front brake from dragging (actually it would often feel like the brake was being applied). I finally decided to replace the brake lines (the rubber ones). Upon examination, you could see that a flap of rubber had somehow come loose and was operating like a backflow preventer. I have had some strange experiences with automobiles, but that one has to be in the top 5.

I did come across in searches about that rarer condition of internal collapsed rubber line issues where it would act as a one way valve but after testing opening bleeder at rest it didn’t appear fluid was being trapped in caliper.

One mechanic suggested hose clamp plier use on older rubber lines may have contributed to it.
