Gonzo, if you do make a rear fuel cell, I recommend:
1. Make out of rotomolded cross linked polyethylene, original smell wears away in 3-4 days. We had lab tested, hydraulic ram pushed sharp steel rod until the steel tank ripped, same pressure only put a dent into our polyethylene tank (no rip or puncture).

2.Pay attention to request above to make tank less gallonage so the rear diff can be pushed rearward.
3. Make your mold out of light weight aluminum, mine is heavy steel, which is the reason I can't get a Roto Mold Co. to accept my job, weight of my mold tears up their machines. I ultimately did not sell enough tanks to justify cost of a new/modern/light weight mold.
