door locks

Is one supposed to be able to lock the door with the outside key mechanism? At this point I can unlock the door, but am having trouble locking the closed door with the key!!

I am having to fiddle with the linkages to get everything right after having put these new latches in.

Yes, you are supposed to be able to lock the front doors via the key w/ front door closed, but the push button in the handle must be returned completely, otherwise you cannot lock. I rebuilt my DS handle and cleaned all the crust out, so it returns. Still need to do the PS, but now I can use one of my new gaskets!

My door handle is clean and sexy, but I have changed out the latch system and now it's about getting all the linkages to work just right.
So to close to getting it to be 100%.

Seems to just keep lingering on!!!!!!
