Door issues

Some of my doors need to be slamed and some need a soft touch to close then any or all will jar slightly open driving down the road is there a thread for adjusting the door hinges and such?

I don't know if there is a thread, but those hinges wear out and this happens. Depending on your rust factor and wear issues, they could also be pulling off the body...ripping metal as they go.

I also seem to remember that Ige (nuclearlemon) had to do some welding on her door frame to reinforce the area because her hinges were pulling off. A wee bit of searching might turn that up too.

Several of my hinges were pulling out of the door. I removed the doors, wire wheeled the area and welded the cracks shut. My hinges still have some play and need to be rebuilt.

I believe the door latches are also adjustable and they stick sometimes too. Mine froze open once (after I owned the Pig for about 5 minutes). Make sure the door latches (mounted on the body) function and also look to see how yours are adjustable.

If ever you get completely fed up with the stock door latches, you might consider switching to bear claws. I'm doing that on my build and it's coming out really nice. Buck's 45LV buildup used them and they came out amazing which is what helped me decide to do mine. Well worth the effort.
