Playing with Gamble in deep snow and he won. Just bowled me over.

Onur is at the vet with Andy to get some shots when he sees a litter in the back of a car...

Two girls available. Going to see them tomorrow.

We don’t allow the dogs to go up stairs so this one goes halfway and just stares at me. I think I saw her stick her tongue out. 😀

We were planning on getting another pup this summer. I figure it'll be easier since I'll be out of school for the summer, but Onur was pretty convincing.

Once I found out these dogs were in the same county I got Cooper --our back GSD we lost in 2019-- I was concerned that the new pup would have the same bloodlines. Coop had elbow displasia, really bad allergies which could run $500 some months, and could be aggressive, esp. with men he felt were threatening to me. Onur managed to get Coop to the point where he was really, really good with strangers, but I was still concerned about the allergies and bone issues.

I asked the breeder and she assured me that they were not related, and that she had imported the bitch herself. However, it was her mother-in-law who had sold me Coop. What a world of difference. I was pregnant when I got Coop, and the breeder had refused to sell me a female puppy because she said she would not do well with children.

Contrast that with today, where both parents of the pups were loose with the puppies while we met the litter, and they were so good natured and calm. Beautiful dogs and of good, sound mind. We feel great getting this pup from this breeder.

We pick her up next Saturday!

One day, I too will have a GSD. Seeing Andy this summer really set me off. GSD and kids go together.
