Took my 12 year old Irish Setter camping for the last time this season a couple weeks ago. It's way too cold now!
Haha..only because it’s a really cool cat with a campteq top
She gets more use out of the top than I do! Also she didn't really ever go up there until the top was put on. Now it is like every day until I get home from work.
Thank you so much! Everyone we pass on the street says the same thing - that they used to have an Irish Setter as a kid. I love them, they are great dogs. Really goofy and sweet.
When I was a kid, my dad built a sizable dog pen in our back yard (5’ tall fencing). We introduced our Irish Setter to the pen but he beat us back to the house. My dad, once again, put him back in the pen and almost immediately watched him climb the fence to freedom. He never once again set foot in that pen.
It's a bit crowded in our 1991 diesel pickup with Ella. The dog sharing the seat with us. Cozy.
That's hilarious. I once made mine a platform for his dog bed. I build the frame of it and put the legs on it so it was about 8 inches off the ground, but I hadn't put the support beams on the bottom yet. I wanted to check to make sure I measured everything right, so I put his bed in it to check. Friction kept the bed from falling through and my dog jumped on it thinking he could lay down. Well obviously the bed dropped through to the ground with his weight on it. Yes it was, but she was happy and so were we going down the road in the old truck (that's me next to our dog). Soon we'll swap in a rebuilt 1hz and go faster!
