and kept me up all night long. it was like he was on speed, running around, scratching his head and back on the sofa and bed, barking quiet pained barks. he finally threw up at about 4am and started to calm down. i need to go take a nap now.

yes. 20 month old and another that will be here in 2 months.

Does the label say say call the poison control center if consumed and to not induce vomiting?

its mostly zinc oxide, while this was happening i looked up on a vet website what to do about zinc oxide ingestion, basically said dog would vomit and to keep an eye on him. appears to be fine now. hopefully he wont eat any more diaper ointment after this episode.
Keep a bottle of hydrogen peroxide around for the dog. If he eats anything suspicious, make him drink the bottle. Stand back and watch him puke for the next 15 minutes. Great way to empty their stomach!
I do believe that stuff is very poisonous and can cause major liver and kindey failure.
How do you make a dog drink something ???
