Does AHC fluid have a shelf life? (1 Viewer)

Good morning all.
As the title states, does this stuff have a shelf life if stored in unopened containers in a plastic bin?
I have just reacquired my 2000 LX470, which I originally bought secondhand in 2004.
(She was/is a beast and provided fifteen years of service until my best friend needed her more than I did.)

I have two leftover, unopened containers from probably 2012/13 when I originally flushed the system.

I am keenly interested in the thoughts of those more well versed in hydraulic fluid properties than I am.

I don't believe so. It's basically just mineral oil and I've purchased very old cans from the dealer before (although not lately).

The dealer told me they avoid selling the ahc fluid stored in the plastic bin. Something about the possibility of contamination.

@TexLexican: these are the 2.5 liter metal rectangular containers which I have inside a Costco plastic storage bin.
