Hey Guys, starting a new thread here to compile collectively what settings people are using on their Dobinsons MRR/MRA 3-Way adjustable shocks. I put this in the 80 series section, since it's the most popular, but anyone else can chime in with their vehicle too if they'd like, or if you own multiple cruisers, that's awesome too, add it all.

I keep notes in my phone of what settings I run, and I think a lot of other people do too.

LSC = Low speed compression
HSC = High speed compression
REB = Rebound

Let's keep it simple, and throw up this info:

Vehicle Build - list total added front and added rear weight, or accessories you have (since settings will be different for a light vs heavy rig). For example, ARB front bumper and winch, rack with 200lb RTT, full rear bumper, 2nd gas tank, drawers, etc.

Front
  • LSC -
  • HSC -
  • REB -

Rear
  • LSC -
  • HSC -
  • REB -

This also gets asked a lot, how to correct or decide to make changes, so I'll post up what the user manual also states for troubleshooting:

I'll also add in here the specs from the Dobinsons manual that comes with the shocks for the recommended starting settings. Remember that the first click, 1, is all the way lefty loosy on the adjuster, and all the way righty tighty would be the firmest.

Running a new set of MRRs on the rear of my 200 (adj Kings in front) and have been messing around with them. With stock rear springs unloaded on street I've gone up and down a bit but I think I've settled on 2 LSC, 4 HSC, 6 REB but open to hear more experiences, as I'm still debating what to do in back regarding springs or spacers.

I am curious where some 80s land with the rears, as they're the same part number as the 200, but weigh nearly 1000 pounds less (stock for stock). I wonder if the pressure could be reduced to give more granularity to LSC and HSC for light loads?
