Pics? Sucks to hear. Do you know if they use paint or powder coat?My Dobsinson rear control arms aren't fairing to well. I live in GA, no salt, and have put about 5K on them since installing (about 18 months).
Not thrilled about it, but w/e

Mine look exactly the same. I’m scared to see how bad they look. I do live in New England and we use a ton of salt but still. What do I replace with???Hey all. I don’t post much but I thought I’d add my experience with Dobinson suspension in my LX470. I installed the kit around 3 years ago. After the first year I noticed a lot of corrosion. I live in California so I thought it was weird since it doesn’t snow here and I live a. I called Dobinson and was told that it’s normal for that to happen and there’s nothing that they can do. A quick google showed me that I wasn’t the only one experiencing premature corrosion with Dobinson suspension components. Anyway, I’ll let the pics do the talking. I’m in the process of replacing rusted parts with other brands.

Makes sense, powder coat quality is really hit or miss in my experience. Is anyone tracking model numbers and purchase dates on this? I bought Dobinsons springs back in 2020. Those have been moved to a newer 100 series. Outside of my abuse or something rubbing them, they were fine. I actually bought a can of spray paint to do a touch up and decided not to bother with it.
I wonder if the issue was model specific or limited to a particular run. I do know that sometimes component manufacturers outsource powdercoating to different vendors for reasons from quality, price, or fulfillment timing.
