Got it, thanks. So no spacer up front?
Correct. I tried them for about a week on the front. Still rubbed and decided to go back to a narrow stance and hopefully keep rock damage on the paint to a minimum.

Hadn't post a pic yet but I love having a real wood shift knobs in my trucks. It was the first 'mod' I did after the purchase.
Can you provide details on the source for the shifter?

I’m sure it’s probably in the thread and I just missed it, but what offset are the wheels you’re running?

Had a friend turn them on his lathe. Nothing special either. A piece of wood from his yard. Send me a PM. I'm sure he'd make you one. Or I could send one of the extras he made for me.

Last night I threw a Prinsu rack on the truck. I usually travel solo/light so a rack is rarely required but the few times a year I need it (racing in Baja) I really need it. Tons of gear and a full truck of passengers. Prinsu used my previous 200 to prototype their rack. Not much has changed since then. I love the flexibility of the rack and I can still use the sunroof. They have a sale this month and Baja is a month away so I pulled the trigger. I think I was one of the first to learn about the poor design for the factory roof rack nuts. This time around it went much smoother. No nutserts required. Had a friend help me out, removal/install took about 2 hours. I went heavy on clear silicone around the bolts to ideally keep out the elements other than that nothing beyond just bolting it up. I can now also get my Maxtrax and shovel out from the inside of the truck. I saw another install threw some clear-bra under the front faring to protect the paint. Great idea and I'll be doing the same. Otherwise not much to be done. I did get the lightbar faring and I'll be adding one at some point but need to do my research on which brand/light will serve me best. Leaning towards Rigid.

As I guess I'm updating this thread about my truck. I did also add Pedal Commander. I run around in Sport +2 (not Sport+ +2). I jumped back and forth for about a month and settled there. Between elevation, ethanol free fuel and my wheel tire set up, it feels about right. Add me to the list of 16+ owners that think it's a necessary mod. Makes the truck so much more friendly around town.

Nice Dave! What are you doing with the old LC rails? I'm realizing the LX rails may be a little shorter than I want for my "poor mans prinsu".

I wish I'd posted right as I did it. I tossed the old rails but kept the crossbars. I live in an RV full time and there wasn't really room to store the rails.

Come to think of it, they changed the rail design in '16. Not sure it would have helped me much anyway.

Nice!

did you assemble the rack off the 200 and lift the whole thing on, or installed side rails first and then crossbars?

Assembled on the truck. Side rails first and finger tight, then faring, rearbar and snugged them up. then bolted it down and inserted the rest of the crossbars.

Did your side rails sit flush on top of the spacers without torquing down?

Honestly I don't know if I noticed. Everything was loose and flexible to allow for adjustment before I did the final torque. Once I measured to make sure I was centered I tightened everything up.

Installed my radio last night as part of my prep for a trip to Baja in a couple of weeks. I ran a similar set up in my previous 200 and Tundra and it works great for me. No permanent mounts/holes, yet is firmly mounted and easily reachable from the driver's seat. Best of all it was free, scraps of wood and carpet from Home Depot. I take that back. I did have to buy a can of spray adhesive for the carpet. Simple and straight forward. Mount the radio to the piece of carpeted plywood and slide between the tranny tunnel and passenger seat.

that is a rad idea! I’m copying! What are you using for an antenna and mount?

Is it tight? Might be a cool addition to add a bike tube to the back, point the valve up, and you could add air to lock it in. Or, is that not even needed?

It's really snug. Does not move at all. Truthfully I mounted it up last weekend before a trip to the desert to test fit and last night was just about running the wiring/antenna. It is very stable. I didn't do anything special for the antenna...

Amazon product ASIN B072XB5H4H
Then ran the cabling/wiring under the carpet and out under the passenger seat.

Another pre-baja mod finished. Hitting the road today to head down to watch the 1000. No racing this year. Until my CPO warranty expires I think I'm done with working on my truck. It will give me time to save money for a long range tank and rear bumper. I need some more lighting and as a front bumper is ways out my ARB Intensity lights are sitting in a box going unused. Heretic Studios is a local (Centerville, UT) company and I'd read good things about their products. They machine everything in-house out of billet. I dig the ID and allow for some customization. My friend and I elected to powdercoat our bezels Canguro Racing red. I double bracketed the light to my Prinsu rack to minimize vibration. I tested it late Sunday night. It performs extremely well. I got up to 100mph on a washboard road and had no worries about out-driving the light and there was no vibration at all. I'm very happy with the result. I've had Rigid bars, 4 8" ARB Intensity and raced our truck with 8 ARB lights. Obviously it won't be able to match the output on the race truck but it's equally as impressive as the others. The top 1/16" of the Prinsu faring blocks enough light to minimize glare off the hood. It was a smokey night so hard to say how much actual glare there is but it wasn't enough to bother me at any point. Obviously performance and durability are two different things. I have plenty of back road and desert driving ahead of me in the next couple of months and I'll be putting it through the paces.
