really it is just for extra safety, just in case something goes wrong with the bottle regulator and/or pressure. I wanted something as a failsafe if both the bottle valve and the dial down regulator go bad, the popoff valve will go and save the seals in the diffs. It is setup for 110psi pop.

noah

Thanks Good idea!

thought i would post a pic, i gave the regulator from ultimate air a workout the other day ,it never froze up . used it for about 15-20 mins .cutting some u-bolts etc. to remove a broken spring . everything was rusted solid

Question

So i am curious i just want to get this straight. running a co2 for the on board air is cheaper then a compressor. it will work some what like a compressor... such as it will be ok to use for arbs, air up tires and maybe some minimal use of air tools on the trails. the reason for asking is im going to put arbs on my rig and also air down on the rocks but would like to air up when i go to pull it back on the trailer (not all the way atleast to like 20 psi). im just curious will i be able to use the air tools... or should i bag the idea of running air tools. i was going to buy a compressor in tell i started to do some research and saw the co2 tanks... i use to play professional paintball and use to put on games for younger kids to teach them stuff so i have atleast 4 or 5 tanks laying around with all the regulators.

the biggest reason for using CO2 instead of air is pure volume .you can pack a ton of co2 in one tank, a tank this size with air in it would probably only air up one and half or so of tires ,while a 20lb co2 tank can fill about 28 tires ,(33X12.5x15) tires from 5 to 30 psi before running out ,20lb Co2 is approximately equvilant to 1200 gallons of air ,
and it works fine with air tools

Awesome thank you. i was just curious, think im going to run co2 then cause it looks like a good option and also i have a few tanks laying around so i got part of it already.

Is that why dry ice is so effective at blowing up 2-liter plastic bottles?
