Has anyone come up with anything that's a simple pushbutton latch, but has a lock that ties into the electric lock system? Generally, the only thing I want to use an actual keyed lock for is the ignition. It bugs me having to dig a key out of my pocket to open the version that only turns with a key, but the alternative (a version with key-lockable push button latch) winds up unlocked when I want it locked because I forget to relock it. I usually just want all my doors either unlock, or locked and this would be no different.

There's a few ways this has been done for Smartcap canopies, here's one Electric Furnlock

FWIW - My Gullwings have been in for ~10 years. Been all over the US and Mexico and never locked my windows but I do lock my LC. With that said I have never lost anything or found them open.

If it were only my stuff that ever winds up back there, I wouldn't worry about it. Unfortunately, I occasionally travel around with expensive gear that isn't mine to lose.

Happy to share my dxf but it may not be what you want...
I used SouthCo E3-16-25 compression latches and recessed the Leer hinges on the top edge to minimize the gap.

They're definitely not perfect but close enough for jazz. Maybe one day I'll dial in the profile and get some borosilicate waterjetted.
Is the key required to open every time?

The E3-16-25 that I used requires an 8mm allen, yeah.
You could opt to spec something like the E3-151-25 with an integrated low profile handle that only requires a key to lock/unlock.
