Ok so i'm going to be installing this weekend if all goes well. Two questions, what type of grease should I use to prevent chipping of the powder coat in the joints?

Second, in Step 1e, it says to "cut the hanger off the resonator for clearance of the new cross memeber." Once that is cut off how do we support the rear of the resonator?
Any grease will do the trick.
The resonator has another mount on the back side that will support it just fine. A lot of guys end up cutting off the resonator all together.

This. I would say now(while you are installing the bumper) would be a good time to delete the resonator or do something different with it. Otherwise best case scenario you have this happen on the trail:

Worse case scenario it’s pinched shut.

I’m not sure how some of you with Dissent rear bumpers handled the hanger on the rear of the exhaust resonator but, this is what I did with mine.

Two quick questions:

1. Cutting out the rear cross member: is it giving a lot of stability?! Thinking about cutting it out now and add some POR15 everywhere. But if it’s a structural piece I gotta wait…

2. Hanging the exhaust. Trailguy’s solutionis the go to option?
No cutting off… California… 😂
