So alot has happened i pulled the bumpers off to sandblast and paint. Made some modifications along the way...added some gussets and frame supports.

Picked up a used winch...had three pulls on it before it got dunked and quit working engo 9000s

Cleaned up the winch and got it in order... contacted @Engousa and the person I talked to gave me a list of parts and prices and when he found out I was not the original purchaser he quit communicating with me....evaporust is some awesome stuff.

I had to make some modifications to my front bumper to accept the winch, I scooted the winch plate back to the radiator support and then pushed it forward 3/4". On the rear swing out I cut the hoop off the top and straightened it up and also notched the tire carrier to sit square with the hoop...

So I found a guy on Instagram that has put a 2nd gen ram 1500 dana 44 under his tahoe with minimal work so I've searched for one with the offroad package that way it had 410 gears and the coils are 2" taller and the axle has gussets oem....after 2 months I found one for less than 1000 dollars it was 150 bucks but 5 hours away....on the way to get it a lost both front wheel bearings and messed up the front diff some how but I think that happened in the snow...

I swapped the axle side heims for bushings and am amazed at how much more flex the axle has with bushings on the axle end of the radius arms.

Drilled and tapped my transmission cross member for the start of the belly pan cut up the original front skid plate for the belly pan. I still have to put in a rear cross member for the skid but it is progress

Backed it out and realized the alignment was way off measured at the distance from center of axle to 16.5”~ for a 33” tire it was 3” of toe in.

It drives ,self corrects all the way up to 80. Also crammed the brakes a few times just to test my frame side mounts. Waiting on limit straps and the cure for the 1 ton steering.

Pretty awesome. So did the axle coil buckets line up with the gm buckets?

I used the oem dodge coil buckets. Just cut them off the dodge welded them to wfo frame plates and welded them to the frame. The Chevy and dodge frame’s are the same width. So it may have lined up with the Chevy shock mount but I'm not sure its been so long... but to get the measurement I just marked the center of the wheel on the fender with at plumb bob before removing the IFS then just lighted the axle up with the string and got my marks that way for the coil buckets. I believe it was 22.5" back from the forward most body mount to the center of the coil bucket. But @tahoverlanding on youtube or instagram makes coil buckets for the swap now and it is much simpler than using the dodge buckets. If you watch his videos you will see why.

Well that didn’t take long. Something in the 10 bolt decide it wanted out, I assume it’s parts of the g80. This is the second 10 bolt. I think I’m going to upgrade to a semi float 14 bolt. Sam 9.5”

g80 parts and the driver side spider gear... So the ring and pinion looks good so now I have a dilemma rebuild the 10 bolt with a differnt carrier (non g80) or go ahead with the 9.5" 14 bolt semi float plan?
