difflock question

hi all, i bought a PZJ77, it has difflocks front and rear, but i cant figure out if they work or not.
ive read that on the 80 series they're are lights that appear on the dash when theyre activated, - flashing when activating and solid when engaged.
can anyone tell me if the 70 series have these lights?

yes they do
engage them on soft ground (not pavement)
They may take a bit of slow arc turns to get them to engage.
Things tend to get gummed up if they are not used.

Diff light on the RPM gauge.

They should only operate when in 4WD and possibly Low Range...(Cant remember)

thanks for the replys guys. well i took the tape off and the lights are there anyway. for the moment theyre flashing. its not road legal so i cant get to soft ground to test them. when i turn the switch i can hear a click from underneath the car.

Jack it up under the axles and test it with the sneakers off the ground .

i got the front one working. i think the electronic hubs work!! haha, thats unusual
