diff lock light blinks but would not engage I heard where if that happens take a Mallet and hit actuator that may be solve the problem .any idea?

If it is stuck you can give it a tap, but usually it is good to get a few hard miles on the highway (heats it up), then do slow circles left and right in a gravel area. Lets the differential work and allows more time for the actuator to pop in once the actuator loosens up.
