So I did a slee diff drop on the 100 this weekend and while I was in there I changed out the front diff bushing and cushion. I noticed when I took that bolt off it didn’t want to come out easily but figure @ 137 ft lb it shouldn’t. Fast forward to bolting it all back together and now the bolt just spins and won’t tighten. Won’t go in. So either the bolt (which is the bolt from the back bushing.. slee supplies a new bolt for it and reuse one from back in front) is messed up or the capture nut has broke it’s tac welds. Anyone had this issue. I’m at a loss for what to do. Anyone know the bolt size.. maybe I can just get a new one and problem solved.. otherwise I have no idea what to do.

Also I have a leak but I have never seen drips on ground. The fluid looks almost orange like it’s coolant.. any ideas? Probably hard to tell in these images

Is your coolant orange? Toyota should be red/pink.
Honestly with the pain that this whole thing has been I haven’t looked, embarrassingly. It’s just what it looks like it’s opaque orange but could be dirt. I originally thought I had an oil pan gasket going bad but can’t tell.. doesn’t look like oil.

The more I look at this bolt the first two threads are messed up. So maybe that’s it as long as that’s what’s keeping it from going in and not messed up from me trying to get it in.

Slee instructions says rear mount gets new bolt. Front reuses rear bolt.

This is going to sound silly, but I say double-check because I made this mistake while trying to install my drop mount...

I overlooked one of the diff mounts (far rear, IIRC) that's supposed to get a spacer and when I tried to put bolts and spacers in the mounts around the bracket, I could not get the bolts to grab because the differential was essentially cocked at an angle that didn't allow the bolts to go in straight. Undid that final mount and got a spacer in and everything went together fairly easily.
