well I have been talking about it for a year and now it's time. i took the week off to work on the swap. engine is pulled so i can start cutting brackets and starting 4bt engine mounts and coil-over conversion tomorrow. not really sure of the time frame for completion but would really like having driving for the winter. I loved having it last winter and my 2wd dodge and motorcycle don't do so well with 12" of snow

if you need pics of anything, PM davegonz, his is nicely done. he's added a few addons from the initial Profftis conversion too. looking forward to seeing this, post pics!

More written details to be added latter

I'll keep that in mind. been working with Jonesy on some of the small details. they started where Proffits left off. I'm not new to the cummins diesel an know the 700R4 is not the end all best option.

have a lot of little things to work on:
re-route brake lines (nicked one with the grinder while cutting the brackets off)
fuel delivery and return
radiator hoses
intercooler
seal 4bt engine
make TB TPS sensor bracket and throttle linkage
castor correction with coil-over lift
second battery
notch oil pan for better clearance than rub on bottoming out
bump stops
rear air bags to compensate for coil over front lift
a/c compressor and lines
alternator and fuel solenoid shut off
winch wired with original antenna up/down switch replace antenna with short flexible one
....many other small tasks

OK so there's a long list of things that will take more time than the physical install this week. but i am pumped to get this stuff working adn start to drive the cruiser again.

Got the coil overs fully mounted.

I was really disappointed that the axle didn't got full droop even with the stock suspension. Of course the droop with the coil overs will still be limited by the sway bar had to pry the stock coils out of it before realizing what was hanging every thing up.

Does a sway bar drop allow for full droop?

I know I will need to extend breathers and brake lines too, I will only end up with a 1-2" lift so pretty close to stock but there is not a lot o extra room
