Cool- we will make up whatever wires you need. Going to Roverlanders show in afternoon if it works...

Well some things didn't go as planned ....
Robert C popped by (thanks) and helped me by getting the 60L tank out of the truck while I worked on the new battery storage idea. Then we tested the 60 series tank only to be disappointed, it doesn't fit. It's just a little bit too big for to fit in, likely would have been OK if the previous owner hadn't replace the middle cross member with a thick square tube. Which, granted will never rot out (and luckily is the only fix on this truck), it does interfere with other plans.
So for now that idea is scrapped and the stock tank is going back in until I have more time.
I was able to design and build most of the new battery mounting, which will be enclosed in some fancy new aluminum under bed boxes I picked up for $170/pair on ebay (new). They are thin gauge though, which meant they needed to be upgraded to work for this application

Well the fun continued over the weekend. Some very long hours and help from Graham managed to put a small dent into the project. Got the batteries done and installed:

Got all of the intercooler plumbing in and sorted, just need some mounts to hold a couple pipes in place...

Found out the air filter box won't fit where I want it to, so had to heavily modify that, on the plus side it will work well for a snorkel in the future...

Ended up buying a very nice gauge pod from Auto Meter ($70 online) which will have a much more stock look to it. Had to make a new faceplate for the Auber gauges, light/buzzer and switches:

So I still have to finish the wiring, finish the air box and install, new throttle cable, relocate windshield wiper tank, install oil vent catch can, wire in fan control, re install the fuel tank (since the one from the 60 won't fit right now), find a spot for the fuel filter/water separator and plumb that, build an exhaust ...and I think that might be it ...I hope...

Like the gauge setup. Battery/storage box looks very well thought out. Going to store recover straps in the bottom?

Hehehe, yes, let's not use the B or the P words ;)
So this weekend no work is getting done for two reasons...
1- today, with the awesome help of Sopel and my buddy David I bought 2 commercial tents. Both 20x24' footprint, one 12', one 16' ceiling.

This was the 16' one that I'm putting in storage, the 12' one is going to be put up in Dave's yard (where my shop currently is).
...and the best part, got both for $1200 :D

2- going house viewing tomorrow, checking out a couple larger properties in Mission ...one step closer to having a large shop and space.

Yes. A big property. I have stuff to store! lol Good luck!

yes yes not a build hehe. i my experience the wrench gets turn on the one you drive . still its a nice collecting of bits for your kit. good to see the build take shape w/o the struggles in the beginning.

Time to grab the ether, tiger torch and the twofour of malt liquor and fire that thing up!
