Oh that is interesting. So if I shifted into 4L and hit the ECT button then it would act like OEM.

I know I could just fix the L4 sensor, but the wiring harness is mangled. I put a posting in the classifieds for one but no luck. I guess if I can access both setups from my seat then I am covered.
 
I just thought of something and confirmed by searching.

My LC is a 1994 without ABS and a factory installed CDL dash switch.

This model does not automatically lock the center differential when you shift into 4L. So I think I am in the clear.

Thanks for all the information. I will confirm this weekend once I finish all my PM and starter rebuild.
