87CRUSR, I hear you can buy replacement lines, but I'm not sure if that is true or not. As you can imagine, it would probably be a pain in the arse. Seems like it would take forever ever. Forever ever?

Time is money; if you really want lines (although you don't really need them living in SoCal), just replace the rear glass I suppose.
 
My local window tint pros use steam to remove tint and charge $15 per window.
Supposedly you can buy a bottle of liquid, paint-on conductive stuff to replace dropped-out sections of the rear window defogger lines. Check a automotive paint/finish supplier.

Aye, you can. That's how I repaired mine. It comes with a little template that you can use, but I just took two pieces of masking tape to mask off the width of the line. The line the template gives you is about 1/8" wide. Way wider than the defroster lines on the window. The repair material works great though.
