Hollywood's got the tarps, you got the cats...anything else?

We have plenty of room if you can get them to Orlando. If anyone down around Boca is coming to Orlando I would be glad to meet them anywhere in the Orlando area and bring them up for you. (Please keep in mind that some of us do not consider anything south of Lakeland part of Florida or the United States...hence we don't go south of it unless we have to!) LOL! We'd rather cut it off and let it become part of the islands!

I really appreciate the offer! I'm waiting to hear back from the seller to see if it's possible to get them to Orlando. Thank you!

Turkeys! I think that nomenclature calls for an initiation ceremony don't you rocky? We'll find out who the gobbler is! We ain't never had a hollywood style gobbler!

See if you can get them here by the weekend...our final load out is Monday...leaving Apopka around 5:00 A.M. Tuesday.

speed? Not sure how comfortable I will be towing my 80. I know the Tundra has the nuts to pull it, but 8K is a large load for any tow rig. Time will tell. I dont want to slow anyone down.

There has also been much dicussion regarding route to Sparta past Chattanooga. We have heard that the direct route (straight North from Chat) is kind of steep and twisty. Most people are heading up I-24 toward Nashville and then cutting over. Adds about 40 miles, but it seems like a much better route.

Who else is towing? I put 4 new trailer tires on my trailer and will have 2 spares. I dont want to be the one holding up progress.

I assume we are talking Tuesday?

Last year we had to travel at around 55 mph because one of our group was handicapped with a trailer behind a 60 which was loaded down heavily. We usually take a survey at the rendezvous parking lot and determine what speed everyone is comfortable with and try to stay within 5 mph either side of it. The hills coming out of Chattanooga are long steep grades so we'll be playing leap frog a bit. Any suggestions are always welcome.

Sorry,
That's correct Tuesday May 15. I'll fix the first post immediately.

We don't care if anyone slows us down. We all go as a group and remain as a group. Any one of us could have a break down or problem of one kind or another and that's why we choose to stay together. The most important issue is to get there safe and sound and return safe and sound. It makes no difference to us if we arrive early evening, late evening, or the day after. Of course we all want to get there as soon as possible however should any one of us encounter a problem we have tools, parts, fluids, or someone to run and get them.
We analyzed the two routes last year and decided to take the straight north route last year because there is one very, very long uphill grade on I-24 heading toward Nashville that we did not think the 60 with a trailer could make. Most loaded semi truck and trailers end up at about 2-4 mph at the top. Either route is fine with me...neither is more scenic than the other...obviously the interstate is safer and provides easier location should we need to direct someone to us. Also, more GSMTR travelers will be on the interstate.
Everyone is towing except Steve. I don't believe anyone is as heavy as you but that doesn't matter...we don't need to be in any hurry anyway. If we don't leave out of Love's until 7:30 or later it just gives us more time to BS and check out each others rigging.

Will do. Thanks again.

I got another head, it's in the shop right now and I haven't heard anything from them, so I'm assuming this one is OK.

Mod taking back seat to replaceing spring bushings and getting parking brake rebuilt. Then take all the TBI stuff and put on JD's cruiser, and finally install the 3FE head onto mine.

Should get the bushings and brake done this weekend, TBI swap by late next week.

1) I'm not towing

2) Does this gobble stuff have anything to do with wild turkey? Cuz if it does, I have a bad feeling about that.

;)
