I'll be there at 10AM Saturday. I'm bringing enough firewood to sustain a small to moderate fire all night. It will be more than last time anyway.

My friend Tim (a 40 owner and FLCA member) is bringing his new Jeep . Hope wheeling with a Jeep doesn't bother anyone. We'll try to refrain from plugging the trails with it.

Cris, Welcome! You can't miss us. The place isn't that big.

Thanks for the offer!
If we ever scrounge up some content we might contact you.

Jeep , Chevy , Ford , Yugo it doesn't matter to me what you wheel . I'm thinking about building a Aries K car with some 40,s . I'm going to take two front section's and weld them together . That gives me 4wd , 4 wheel steering and 2 engines . I call it a Push Me Pull Me .

I will be there Friday night, bringing a couple of friends and a stock jeep. I just went to Hardrocks website and it is redirecting to an Altamonte Springs CPA firm??
hardrockmx.com

Do i have the right website?

I'll take a Lada...but good idea though.

Richloam, anyone?

Thinking about testing out my new 305's and winch.

Richloam is a good place to get stuck. March 10th?

Gregg, that link goes to the Hardrock site for me...

By the way, I'll be there tomorrow (saturday) morning to meet up. Looking forward to meeting you guys.

Great to meet the guys who came out. Thanks for a great trip. hope to see you all again for another good trip. I'll be posting some pictures soon.

What a GREAT little trip !

This time Rollercoaster reach out and ripped Greg's ring and pinion right from under him just before the top . Chris was able to pull him up the rest of the way and trail repair began . I guess I should say the third member removal began , repair will come later ( looks like a good tech session ) .

I will hopefully get what few pictures and video we took up soon . Gregg let us know when the tech session is going to be , remember GSMTR is just around the corner . I must say we had another great time around the campfire , I hope Rodney's girl friend isn't to pissed at him . But I do believe I can speak for everyone it wasn't the same without Archie , Jerry and Ricky maybe next time .

See ya soon

Haha I can't take really any credit for getting Gregg out, that was all Steve and his winch, I just towed him a little further to allow you to drop the driveshaft. Poor Rodney...

Alright, sounds like something interesting happened after I left, what's the scoop.

P.S. we didnt want to leave without saying goodbye, but I got caught up on my undercarriage trying to follow you guys and decided to call it a day. We drove around trying to find you, but had no luck. Hope no one was looking for us.

I cannot say thanks enough for all the help. If anyone has a picture of me stuck on Roller Coaster (pinion hill?) I would appreciate it.

At the last minute I engaged the rear E-lock and roared up RollerCoaster, when I got within 25' of the top, I hit the final rock and bounced the rear end and the Ring & Pinions in the rear gave out. I was able to stand on the brake until Steve was able to get a winch line on me. I had Heard about Jim's experience with no rear end going down backwards so getting pulled up seemed to be the safest way to go.

After pulling the drive shaft the rear kept binding. After some discussion we decided to pull the axles and third member. I was very lucky that so many people lended a hand. I have never worked on axles or a rear diff before.

With the third member out I was able to front wheel drive it back to camp. I find it amazing but the winch up, tear down and re-install and we were back in camp in 3.5 hours if I remember correctly.

Some more wheeling followed the complete album can be found here

Luis offered me a tow home and Rocky offered to keep Luis's FJ at his house.

At home I got the Third Member on the bench and took these pictures.

It was a great time !
Carnage was limited to Gregg's ring gear. Which was enough for one day.
Gregg, X2 on the tech session. Let us know when it is.

I hope Rodney's girl friend isn't to pissed at him
Nah, All is well

Alright, sounds like something interesting happened after I left, what's the scoop.
One thing was when Luis was in the middle of tackling the big rock garden, his motor mount gave way pinching his battery cable between the mount and frame causing a major short and instant battery discharge.

Another was that Rodney's girlfriend can't leave him alone. She must call or text him a few times every hour. Late in the evening we all had our fair share of :beer: consumption around the fire:cheers:. Meanwhile back at home Rodney's girlfriend:princess: was getting her drink on. Then her drunken calling frequency increased.

We all took turns answering Rodney's phone. The phone got passed around. She got to talk various people around the fire including Larry the cable guy (Rocky) Luis speaking Spanish, and other personalities. She got to hear all the "who's Rodney?" and other funny chit.
It was good for her ;) :grinpimp:

So that isn't Rocky's FJ Cruiser getting a solid axle swap? Figured he would have started with the front since the back is already one piece...

Nope mine is still going stong , knock on wood . It is still up For Sale if you are interested , I would rather give the new owner the chance to break it first .

Boy, how did I miss all that???:crybaby::crybaby::crybaby::crybaby::
:wrench::wrench:
