We the people

Sorry Bret been busy at being PISSED OFF at the DUMB ASS"S in Washington . Someone please tell me why is our country broke or do you care .

We the people

INCREASE in the National Debt during each presidential term:
Ronald Reagan’s First Term – $656 billion increase Let's make America great again. Reagan was an adherent of supply-side economics, which argues that economic growth can be most effectively created using incentives for people to produce (supply) goods and services, such as adjusting income tax and capital gains tax rates.
Ronald Reagan’s Second Term – $1.036 trillion increase …it didn’t work
George H.W. Bush’s Term – $1.587 trillion increase Read my lips Bush famously called Reagan's economic policy "voodoo economics" … it didn’t work we entered a recession
Bill Clinton’s First Term – $1.122 trillion increase It's Time to Change America
Bill Clinton’s Second Term – $418 billion increase It's The Economy, Stupid The phrase, made popular by Clinton campaign strategist James Carville, refers to the notion that Clinton was a better choice because Bush had not adequately addressed the economy, which had recently undergone a recession.
George W. Bush’s First Term – $1.885 trillion increase Yes, America Can! "Whoever pays taxes gets a tax break"
George W. Bush’s Second Term – $3.014 trillion increase …the worst!
Barack Obama’s First Year – $1.573 trillion increase Yes We Can …we heard that 9 years ago! Largest increase in a one year period.
To summarize, the National Debt increased by huge amounts under each of these presidents. The largest increase for a complete term occured during George W. Bush’s second term.
Republican +8.178 trillion Democrat +3.113 trillion Total: +11.291 trillion
US Gross Domestic Product: 15.01 Trillion…where’s the money going?

Definately care, but one vote one way or the other does noot change make. Need a few million people all on the same wagon. Unfortunately all the "me" economics kkeep getting in the way. Every one says cut spending, just not my program. Seems like hand outs are more popular than working. You can make more money panhandling or on welfare than working on the farm or at McD's.

Yes indeed

Does anyone know if we are still doing Turkey Trot . I have tried to get the FLCA web site to come up but I must not have the right combination . If we are what are we doing pot luck or eat what you bring .

Not that you would know by the posts...as there haven't been any lately...but as far as I know Jerry is taking care of dinner, there will be a raffle, and we'll get to finish all of the trails. Are you sure you are trying the correct address? Florida Land Cruiser Association • Index page
By the way...since you posted they moved would you please tell us where they are and whether or not we need to bring our Baja cars or our 4x4's.
Thanks!

Bring both 4x4 and Baja car , it'll make for an interesting weekend . They are still in the same spot as last year . I was just seeing if anyone was paying attenition . I guess you and Bret are the only ones , please tell me we have more interested members . Yes I have tried everyway I know to get to the FLCA web site , it keeps giving me an error message or site not available . So I have given up on it .

So were you able to cure yourself of the "jeep" thing or do we need an intervention?

I got to tell you freedom and capitalism are not an easy mistress, but almost every solution has unexpected backlash and gray areas. Noting that the lawyers are the ones making the laws, intrepreting the laws and prosecuting the laws. Their the only ones winning in court regardless of the outcome. So until we the people quit using them they will continue to profit, same with almost any company or firm. Why does a guy throwing a ball make millions? People are willing to pay it. Why is gas expensive? People pay it. Why does congress keep passing around the sheep instead of making the needed changes? People don't call them back and fire them. We the people can't really blame anyone but ourselves, we have the power to affect change, it just isn't used.

Sorry, rant off.

I still think discussion is ripe for debate over a few too many beers and a fire.

That's what I'm preachin ! Let's stop closing our eyes , turning our head and covering our ears . It's time to hold their feet to the fire . Look BofA is not going ahead with the debit card charge because the people spoke up and said HELL NO ,that dog don't hunt . Think what 3/4 of a country can do if we all stand together and say HELL NO .

No still looking for one
That way I can have fun with them on the weekends that FLCA doesn't have something planed . So that gives me 3 weekends out of the month to go play if I choose .

Sorry did not see I received any replies until now. I have an 80 series and want to know if there are any known shops that have experience with 80's. Honestly the Toyota dealer I went to before seemed lacking in knowledge. Thanks!

I called Hard Rock, they told me that the front page of their web site is the schedule. So if it shows 4X4 on November 19 - 20, that's what it will be.

So, we are still going to have some good food and rides. If I'm taking care of dinner, get ready for some corn dogs, and rice.

I'll make sure we have some raffle prizes.

Time to get up a list of who is going...

I'll be there as long as we don't have corn dogs...

Jerry D.

Hello all,

It's almost Thanksgiving, time to have a good time at Hard Rock.

We didn't see all the trails at Hard Rock last year, let's go back and try again.

Mark your calendar for November 18, 19 @ 20, we'll have a nice camp out and Thanksgiving (Nov. 19th) dinner.

More details to follow...

Jerry

I love corn dogs but never had them at a Thanksgiving dinner! There's no complaint here! Bottled turkey will fix any meal!

I'll bring some plastic cups , ketchup , mustard and napkins .

Bye the way GSMTR is happen May 14 - 19 2012 just incase anyone cared . I plan on going back , anyone else going .
