Yep, digits are the same.

If you have the luxury of time I would be trying to avoid the shop fees. there are a few folks in the area that could help in that regard. It looks like there is an adapter to run the Atlas behind your tranny. Might need to do a little remodeling for everything to clear.

If the SAS on the white Suck-oh-yea is any indication once the IFS stuff is removed there is plenty of room for the axle, just need to decide on leaves or coils. Leaves may be easier but I don't know if there is enough room in front of where the axle would be.

I've looked at many swaps on the FJC , so far everyone is using a 3 link . Allpro makes a kit for the axle swap that I will most likly get . They also have a Rock Jock front housing . The better news is they have done this before and I think they have done it more than once .
I was going to get some input only from the shop , I have nothing but time so I'm going to do the swap out here in the garage . I'm hoping this winter I can get started on it , just make it a every weekend Tech Session until done . Would love to show up at GSMTR next year rolling on 40's with a solid front axle .

I'm interested in the trip and will plan for it but who knows what can happen between know and then . It also depends on when GSMTR going to be, I would like to attend it too . Don't know if that helps much , I guess I'm riding the fence right now .

Trailer

If Luis and I can find a two car flat trailer to pull behind his 350 with the camper we're in. That way I can drive out and he can fly (do to time off from work).

That would be quite a trailer, 10K flatbed with a camper would be a slow pull on some of those passes. If you got the power keeping it cool at altitude can be a challenge. My stock cummins had to stop a couple times to let the engine temps come down. If timing works out I may go as far as CO.

I wasn't planning on crossing the Rockies. I was thinking the southern route then north in California to the Sierra Nevadas...not quite the Rockies.

I think that's the way Steve was planning , the southern route . But you are still going to have aload behind ya . The good is we have enough time to plan and prepare for the trip .

Cool, Some interest

Suggestions and ideas are welcome. If a trip looks probable, we'll have to get together for a BS session.

The southern route would be easier on the vehicles.

October Plans

Just wondering if anyone had any thing going on this month . Maybe it's time to start a SAS , Luis do you have room in your shop ?:bounce::clap::steer::bang:

Rocky, So I take it you've recovered and are feeling better. Cooler and drier weather making you want to get out and turn & burn?

SAS that thing in your driveway. Great weather for working outdoors.

I got the engine swap going on. I think I'll go on night shift this month to speed up the progress.

Still need to tie in my roll cage. Had to use the cargo strap for stuff in the back of the truck...

I do believe ya'll are right.

Yea I'm filling much better not 100% yet but get close. Went down and got some gas for the welder yesterday , I do think I'll get out in the garage and melt metal with fire today .

I put my suggestion in for a HAMOM (help a member of the month) since we were supposed to have a tech session this weekend...guess it didn't go over to well...haven't heard anything.

Well I finally finish the air bag install on my Ford . This will let me adjust the ride hieght in the rear when I'm pulling my 2 ton Crusier .
I've been eye balling the IFS on cruiser everyday , just haven't had the balls to cut anything off yet . I guess when I get enough beer in me I want even think about it . I'll keep ya posted on when the SAS starts .

I was gonna start the PTO this weekend but the NFL got in the way. The NBA has screwed up my schedule for the NGOTH so thought I could get TWC done atleast. If not I will go ahead with the PS and hopefully get some really good OI's.

Hey Rocky,

You refer to "...not having the balls to cut anything off yet.", you should listen to Betty White about that subject...

"Why do people say "grow some balls" ? Balls are weak and sensitive. If you wanna be tough, Grow a vagina .. Those things can take a pounding."- Betty White.

Not making any reference to what you need to do, balls or vagina, it's you call.
