No wonder AZ Trails are misunderstood by CA! We use a 1-5 scale. When we say 4 we should say 8. [:>)

Speaking of CAL trails? What's the best trail in CA closest to AZ? Something like a 7-8 on your scale. Maybe around San Diego? Maybe we'll plan a trip out there in the 100. Hill climbs, some mid-sized rocks, ledges, though little brush.

Clawhammer, Johnson Valley, put up or shut up.........then I will lead you to Wrecking Balls and we will see if you ever call one of your trails difficult again......:hillbilly:

Or how about Truckhaven, nice little place, we can run the ledge and waterfall..........maybe some knotches for flex and travel and then run the trenches for clearance.

We do too here in AZ. No brawling. Just fun and no insane ego's. The difference is that many of the Cal guys think their poop don't stink, they have the only good 100 drivers, and attack needlessly on non-CA guys. I know we can't equal your trail talents. Maybe some day I'll learn the art. :D

You can't gert mad at me for this post. I'm just repeating CAL words using my own words.

Any please....that pinch rock line is tight for sure! Are you saying this is a difficult obstacle? If so, I need more pictures.....These are difficult obstacles agreed by most who see/know them, dispite recognition from CAL:

But John--RustyTLC is from Nevada. Maybe you'd like to edit your post.

I do feel sorry for you, BTW. Always the victim! :meh:

Yes, that is exactly what I saw when I visited the California Cruiser scene last summer. Nobody there knows anything about wagons. The folks who own the wagons are just a bunch of Mall Cruisers. They were all hanging out at the Springs Mall eating their gourmet food. And they were talking about how this idiot in Arizona thinks he actually wheels his 100 and nobody else does. Yep, that is what they were all about. Putting the outsider down and holding their pinkies up as they sipped their lattes or whatever the hell it was they were drinking, they were too stuck up to even acknowledge me when I asked what it was. And as far as their poop stinking, I wouldn't know they all carried it around in these little baby powder coated baggies. Maybe the baby powder masks it?

Dude, you need to get out more. Sign yourself up https://forum.ih8mud.com/tlca-sanctioned-events/198910-rubithon-2008-june-18th-22nd-2008-a.html It is right there. I can guarantee folks will treat you right and you'll learn a lot along the way.

Too far. That trail is why I own a second Cruiser I don't mind banging up. June! My busiest month of the year...no days off allowed ever.

Sorry you were treated poorly by those guys.

can you clarify your last post Eric V.?

I know but I think it needs to be clarified for those that have jumbo jets flying over their heads ;)

I did a quick tour of CA last year, Rubithon, Yosemite, by Death Valley, San Diego and up the coast. My wife, son, and I traveled with many of those aluft Californians Mr. Schotts was referring to. You know the ones that won't let you eat at their table or stand next to their fire (oh yeah we didn't have a fire) or let you stay in their homes for FREE. They certainly wouldn't show any sort of hospitality towards out of staters. And you know their governor drives a Hummer so how the heck could any of them know how to wheel?

Seriously, the CA LC community is very strong. They are very helpful to anyone and everyone on the trail (even if you are jerk). And they know how to wheel. They aren't running around to the local malls with their built wagon Cruisers they are actually using them (If anyone saw that built white wagon in the Ventura Mall at the end of last June, yep it was me, it wasn't a local). Look at where the 100 series breakage is occuring, either Christo is driving or it is someone in CA. I'm sorry if anyone gets butt hurt about this statement but, "There are more 100s getting wheeled harder in CA than any other state." They might not have it per capita, but because they are such a populous state they have a lot of people wheeling and a lot people wheeling 100s.

So I think his comments about Californians are sort of unwarranted. And I replied in a very sarcastic tone, that those who know me and know where and how I wheel and who I like to hang with would understand. I didn't mean to leave the rest of you in the dark.

Oh and I've been driving my dad's LX450 the last few days, and I will say there is one thing I like a lot more in the 100 than an 80, leg room! I don't think any 80 owner who has spent time in both could dispute that 100s without a doubt win the 80 vs. 100 debate in legroom.

Unless you have LTank's seat brackets for the 80. Then the 80 wins! :)

Oh, good for CA on wheeling their 100's! Good for ANY state for wheeling their 100's! For CA drivers to tout they have the only good 100 drivers....plain ignorant. They reveal their true character.

Dude did someone steal your milk money as a kid?
No one from Cali said that, your the one who posts comments with little digs to people and vehicles, you simply draw the reactions from so many people because of years of comments and statements.

My 100 tech post, what is the field of vison for the back up camera?

for the record I owned a 2005 100 series and would anyday drive it over my 80 in town, through the forest and across the desert. But when it comes time to wheel, my 80 is the weapon of choice

Maybe if you didnt come across like you did, your threads would not go to hell, I remember you and Slee and your comprehension of driveline issues quite well. You have alot of good to add but your tone and comments erase those benifits. Its too bad, I think your in it for the attention now

Thanks for your opinion.

OK, no tech, babbling, interstatal nonsense...

Deer Valley is an easy run. Surfpig made it in in a Stock 55, no power steering and a broken wrist. And 2 kids.

Deer Valley is an easy run. Stock FJ40 made it through last year. We met several factory stock jeeps going in as we were coming out on the hwy side.
