I caught the ass end of a mule deer, going about 35-40mph. Knocked the passenger side maker out and tore the harness at the connection. I failed to locate the lamp, lost to the darkness .

Anyone know the smart way to go about fixing this? My main concern is how to re wire the harness to the new bulb housing/connector? Is there a good way to do so without heading to the mechanic?

I'll probably need to find schematics somewhere for part# and placements

Any thoughts are welcome!
Thanks Mud

Venison for Thanksgiving this year?

Buy the marker and harness plug, solder in with connectors maybe half a foot of wire to replace what's missing. If you're not able to do that, ask around with neighbors, someone should be able to do that.
I think I found a tech to help get the new lamp in. But do you know what the 2 groups of wires attached to? The wired plug I have only has one red and one white wire. Do the 4 wires get soldered to the 2 wire plug?

Sheesh...I wish I found that deer!

The answers to your questions are depend on how your LX turn signal is wired up. Two wires are for "parking lights" and two are for signal lights. Most steel bumpers don't have signal lights and thus the corner lamp has to be converted to handle both, parking and turn signal lights. I don't know if this applies to your case. You can also just turn your left turn signal lights and see what happens.

Awesome info here, thanks man👍actually do have a steel bumper installed, I'll look for a wiring diagram and figure out the best fix
