So Farrah said there was talk about the trip of 12-14 for either Death Valley or Arizona Peace trial. Well, not much input on either so making an executive decision on an April run... DEATH VALLEY!!! Never been there but will be doing ton of research between now and then....anyone want to come??? Will work on more detail in the near future ... but seeing who wants to go first!

Got an old teapot?

My buddy Phil and I have mildly built, lifted and locked 80s. We were looking at that weekend already. Where in DV are you headed, and will it be dry backcountry camping or at campgrounds?
DV is truly beautiful, great idea!

Planning on tent camping along the way of where ever we end up. Never been there before so started doing tons of research on trails as of today. If your friend and you are coming from AZ... I may made contact with him. Always open to meeting with other amazing off roaders that have details for this amazing place.

Since we are coming from the south of the area coming in off 127 and looking to drive up to the center area.

I’ll fiddle with the dates, just started a new job but if I can squeeze, I’d like to go.

Shoshone to Jubilee Pass, you'll start to get a concept of the enormity of the park. Points of interest sometimes are 20-30-40 miles apart.

Only 3 days is going to be a challenge to see many of the parks features. Perhaps selecting 2 or 3 of them and planning accordingly might give the best trip.

Enter from the South through Trona Hwy 178 (stop at the Trona Pinnacles) into Pannamint Valley.

I'm free that weekend. Like several others have said, with only a weekend time frame you are limited to what you can see. I've been all over Death Valley many times. @Cruiser Bauers what do you want to see? Do you want to stay offroad and back country or do you want to be in the back country? Stove Pipe Wells has a good campground and is a good centrally located to setup a base camp and go out from there if you want to see more of the touristy things.

Unfortunately Scotty's Castle is still closed. That's is a definite must see for future trips, IMO.
I've always like running out to the south on Badwater Rd when coming home.

I would love to make it back to DV it's been 15 years since I've been there and with all the rains this year I'm sure it is beautiful! I will see how things work out for me, but put me in tentatively for now!
