After 3 days in DV I plan to wander over towards the Panamint and then to Alabama Hills.

OK I warned you I cant operate a fancy DLSR nor it appears can I spell. It's Panamint. It's the area around the intersection of Trona Rd. and the 190 which goes from Owens Dry Lake over to Stovepipe Wells

I know exactly where it is. I was mispelling it with the two N's. I've been to a bunch of mines in the area, Ballarat, been buzzed by jets there (that was exciting)

You may be referring to Father Crowley Point AKA Star Wars Canyon which is home to the Jehdi Transition

I just checked the site...There are a number roads closed and there seem to be quite a few construction projects going as well.

So after looking around a bunch today I found that there is a bunch of places that are open and passable for our types of ride. Saline Valley, Lippencott Rd, Steel Pass and the many others are open. Just a heads up. Starting a thread about the Peace Trail for options.

Heading out to Peace trail the following weekend with the family if your dates shift. 18th through 21. Or if anyone wants to go back to back and stay out that way.

I'm going out April 17-20th. We are starting in Baker and doing Mengel Pass and doing 3 nights and popping out at Big Pine for the drive home on Saturday.
