Seeing if somebody has one of these they'd like to sell. Came on various models with the 'Cyclone' Type air cleaners for 2F, 3F etc.

Toyota calls it a 'Cyclone Wing' which goes over the paper element.

Will take entire Air Cleaner assembly if it includes the Cyclone Wing, even if outside USA.

Thanks!

:)

does this translate into more HP Alf ?

i have never heard of this before

looks like a non-usa far away nifty feature .........

Thought these were only offered in Australia? These are designed separate sand/dust out air and collect in a small can that it held onto the bottom of the housing with a clamp. I bought an entire engine in Australia a couple years ago with one. Still there.

Could be Aus only, though I think ME would have been a proper market, too, but don't know for sure.

Yes, the insert, like some of the ones on top of snorkels, swirls and slows the incoming air charge, forcing the heavier bits of dust and sand against the walls of the air cleaner where they fall into the cup. Have no idea how well it works in the wild.

we still have similar setups on some older Cat loaders at work, they work very well.

I have the plastic wing unit on a 2F 45 and like the extra protection of dropping out the sand and dirt before it gets to the filter. My air cleaner is Saudi spec with the bottom dust cup; these were also optional on diesels. Certainly would be beneficial in many dry and dusty parts of the world where these lived.

Not sure how well it would work without the bottom dust cup to catch the debris and keep it from churning back into the intake air, though.

ok

so according to my oem 3F FSM , this " CYCLONE " non usa far away must have for Alf WILL indeed produce these HP and overall efficiently gains ,

drop in no mods plug and play

i like this : :)

SUPER HILUX will have one soon after i reproduce ALF's in great numbers , for folks like @Bear & WAG @3_puppies too

- i have confirmed this 3 F indeed is CYCLONE element equipped ......

- PHOTOS or it don't exist u say ?

Uhh...............not producing any burnouts here. The plastic cyclone overlay that sits on the filter element has NO connection with a turbo or supercharger, unless of course that wasn't shipped with mine ! And not gonna happen here what with the cost of new tires nowadays !

And may I say, sir, that I am appalled with such levity !

Did a little checking appears on the FJ4X only Australian market had the cyclone filter. HJ47 showed general market not just Australia having the cyclone filter. 60 series had them as well. Looks like 11/84 it ended. My sole interest is in the 2F in the 40 series. Australia is the only market I can find having them in a FJ40 and FJ45. The wing itself was more widely used.

Guess I should be sure of the condition of the wind in my air filter. Only reason bought a 2F in Australia was because of the air cleaner.

Was actually able to get a couple of pictures of the wing on mine. Besides being dirty it's in great shape.

Isn't technology great. Remember my mother saying she had a pen pal in Australia when she was young. At the time would take six weeks to get a letter back. Sent a PM and shortly later get a couple of pictures.
