here's a video on that same ledge a couple years ago. this guy is on 47's and it gives a little better view of the ledge and why i had to go so far right. skip to about 5:15 or so and start from there.

here's the difference, for those interested, between 5psi and 20psi in the rear tires (to the bottom of a 14bolt) i usually run 7-8psi in the front to match the 5psi in the rear.

(11.5" at 5psi and 12.75" at 20psi)

Yes, it's a 14 bolt. He has a 60 up front.

Bumping this thread for another one ton question. Have you run the truck on the freeway since the 14 bolt swap? I'm wondering about the road manners of the centered pumpkin mated with the offset transfer case.

yes. i ran it a lot just after the swap (before the bead locks and drive flanges) and it drove almost as good as stock. other than not having sway bars, you would never know that it had tons. with the transfer case flange and the pinion flange at the same angle (like this / /) the u joints are fine. i've driven it at 75 mph and it was as smooth as ever.

thanks! it has been a while.
i could, just tired of dealing with the windshield frame and keeping other glass.

its getting a full cage, lexan windshield, and aluminum roof.

got one side mocked up this eve. pictures dont show it very well but you get the idea. took a long time to bend one tube and get all the angles right coming up off the fender and following where the windshield frame was. should have a lil more done tomorrow eve.

got it at a friend's house. he has an actual tube bender (instead of the HF tube kinker i used), a tubing notcher, and enough experience to do it right. we were bending full 20ft sticks to keep the two main tubes all one piece and they are too long to bend in his garage.
