Been awhile since I did any work on the trailer.. Tacked up the sides, top rail and tailgate this morning.

Any new progress pics?

No, its out back. With Trail-Tailor I haven't had much time for 3rd and 4th place projects..

I hadn't seen this thread Jason... You really do gorgeous work!!
Subscribed!!

Thanks Danny, It's been dead for awhile. Maybe in the next few weeks I can get going on it again. But, the 40 will take precedence.

I've been waiting for this! Jason, could I ask where you sourced the cable and plug at.

Ron, It may go quick... pay attention! HA!

I got the cable/plug at my local steel supply. This one is 16' (I'll trim a bit off-- they have a 25' as well) They stock them for the mine trailers around here. It is heavy duty and about 3/4" diameter. No mfg name on it.

I think it was $35.00. Need one? I have to go get some other items in the next day or two. Be happy to grab one for you and ship it to MO.

Thanks Jason!

Sure wasn't expecting such service. I truly enjoy getting to have dealings with you. When you get to the weatherstripping install, please elaborate on the TrimLok.

I'm just amazed that such a hard core truck camper like @spressomon would actually see the light and finally get himself a real trailer....there may be still hope...:bang:

Great job...looking forward to the progress...

Thanks Ron, always nice to help you out when I can.

TrimLok, IMO, is the best weatherstrip on the market. I will be using a lap and bulb style. The lid will rest in a cradle on the trailer base and then the bulb will create the seal in addition to a raised inner lip to keep all the element out. Most guys just slap to faces of square tube together with a flat sponge strip between them.

If you've ever put a toolbox on a truck, you know that flat strip gets compressed and never relaxes. Therefore, the seal is pretty much junk in a open/close use scenario after just a few uses. Unless you have adjustable hinges to continually tighten down the lid to make the seal work. If there is no adjustment... leaks, dust, ice etc.. will occur quickly.

The TrimLok bulb seals will relax and continue to be effective time and time again. They are the same ones I use for my 60 series door and hatch/gate weatherstripping (just a larger bulb size and lap depth)

It'll be a couple weeks before I get to that part.

Thanks,

But, this isn't his first OR trailer.. it may be the 3rd, if memory serves me correctly.
