Do you suppose those gutter mounts would fit an 87 Hilux pickup?

Any pictures of fzj80 sliders? Im looking to buy a set in a couple months.

These are on the list but nothing yet.

If you have a framing square, measure the rise from the gutter to the high point on the roof. Let me know that measurement and I'll see if I can bend these to work. If not, I can make a set for you, with the measurements you supply me.

Any chance your making some front bumpers for FJ40s?
Thanks

Yes, this will be a priority over the next few weeks for front and rear bumpers. I just got back with one of the two 40s I bought a couple days ago. Hope to get the other next week or the week after.

wow now i cant wait to get my hands on a 60 to give to you........ Any chance you would have time to make 100 series LED bar roof mounts? Seems like these 60s guys keep you pretty busy

So I was going to wait until I received my bumper from Jason to jump in the 80 Series Tech and sing his praises but I just had to come in here to give a perspective on what has been a great purchase and design process so far with J.

As with any big purchase, there is definitely a slight hesitation before you pull the trigger unless you have tons of money and with a relatively new vendor, it can be tough to do the research to truly make you feel comfortable.

So I figured I could help those in the market and looking at jasons armor or for other products he makes.

Jason has been nothing but accommodating and super low pressure about this whole process. He simply wants to build what you want and make his customers happy. he has updated me every time he has done work on my rear bumper and he checks in whenever there is a decision point for a type of equipment or something that he would do.

I don't do customer reviews often unless a product or customer service is extremely good or bad.....Jason's customer service is exceptionally great and from the pictures, his work is incredible as well.

I took the plunge based on his pictures and our interactions, so I hope this helps someone on the fence make a decision.

I'll update with pictures once I get this bad boy in my hands and on the rig.

Cheers

Andrew

Jason any update on the carpet set? waiting for you to come out with initial sample pls update.

I'm interested too - for a grey/black interior FJ62 with manual trans. Thanks!

(Preferably just front & passenger areas, not cargo, if I can save some $)

A, Thank you so much for the kind words and it has been a pleasure working with you.

Yes, I try to give my customers what they want within their budgets. When I started the shop I said it would be more work not to build a standard bumper/product and stock pile them up, but wanted that more personal relationship with my customers... This is one of the reasons I chose the Trail-Tailor name. If my customers want something unique, we can visit and negotiate to get where we are both comfortable.

Giving someone any sum of money is a huge personal commitment and takes guts in this day and age. I treat all the projects as they are mine and try to keep my customers updated everytime work is completed on their project. I do this from gutter mounts to complete body work renovations. I can give anyone a list of MUD members I've worked with to confirm this or inquire about my ethics, communications, etc...

Thanks again,

Jason

J's been a pleasure to deal with! He sends pictures whenever I ask, despite having to reinstall 200lbs worth of bumper/tire back onto his truck. He answers questions promptly. He let my broke college ass pay him in hefty chunks instead of all at once. He helped me find a solution for shipping the bumper plus the additional quarter guards... Super cool guy with amazing customer service right from the get go.

Pictures of mine :) (quarter panel protection to be added once i receive the bumper in a few weeks)

I cannot wait!

Everything is looking super BA J!! Keep it up! And since no one has said anything, I'm speaking up now for first place in line at the tbb (to-be-built) fj40!! :D

It'll be a resto mod, '68 with a 110K mile-10/85 2F 4 speed and transfer case. Custom armor and maybe go with one of Marshall's soft tops...

Edit: Sorry Finny you are #3 in line for the 40. But, never know... Not sure when I'll have this done...
