Just stop by and pick one up on your way to MT... ;) I'll even help you install it.

Well ... Regardless of if I end up in MT or not, I'll probably have to go to Baggs, WY on a road trip in Sept. Gotta pick up some taxidermy and shipping of that stuff is spendy! It'll be a long slow drive in a 73 though ....

Installed @lisponger 61 GO GO GADGET Rear and added a few goodies. Rigid lights and a pedestal receiver mount for J to work on bikes when in need. Also installed some new door seals on the rig.

J, It was a fun build and enjoyed the install time together. Let me know if you have any questions and give me a heads up on your way back through. Have a safe trip back to CO brother.

Jason

My son is going to wig out when he sees this repair stand. I can't wait to show it to him.

My son works in a bike shop. He is going to go wild over that thing.

What is the source of the vise?

My son may recognize it however.

@cruiserdan Park Tools- Micro Adjust Clamp - http://www.amazon.com/Park-Tool-Professional-Micro-Adjust-Repair/dp/B000WY5T8W

I had J fab up the mount to quickly deploy for a repair or stay on for a race (ideally the right side of the truck would be where an awning would be)

Best part is that I can use it on the road and in the garage on the same mount with the simple and generic 2" receiver stock.

My kid is gonna have to have one of those. He just bought some kinda weird bike that has tires fatter than a motorcycle on it and it costa plenty.

So.... is the Park Tools clamp welded to plate stock and then square tubing? I'd be interested in a setup like that as well. How does it compare to a Park Tool shop stand? I'd imagine there would be some flex, but can you do most repairs/adjustments like a portable stand?

Way cool.

Clamp bolts to the plate, not welded. He can remove it from the custom receiver and use it anywhere he has another work station. I'm not a bike guy, @lisponger would have to give details on the actual rigidity when wrenching on a bike. I feel there would be some wiggle/flex, but not sure how much is acceptable when working on a bike.

@SFCDiablo there is Zero! flex. The shop clamp is great but it's a pain to adjust for different seat tubes, plus the micro is lighter, is easier on carbon seat posts, and offers way more adjustability then the old shop clamp design.

I can easily repair any bike from a 14lbs road bike to an older 40lbs downhill bike on it.

Since @reevesci also added in the swing out stay/stops I don't have to worry about yarding on the bike and sending it into my quarter panel.

lisponger.... that's good to know. Good to know about the stays/stops in the swing out to prevent.... 'close encounters'. I use the both micro and old clamp at my shop. Park makes both to fit into their shop stands. I like the micro for most bikes and the older one for older steel bikes and tandems, e-bikes, cruisers.

Thanks for the info.
