Is that b/c of no shocks or b/c of the traction/ladder bar?

I thought it was more b/c of no traction bar.

hey BMTHiker, I am camping both nights as of now...Leigh will be in Cali till Saturday night so no point in trying to work the cabin angle. I am also in for the convoy from ATL.

Is there any way to get in the camping group without coming up Friday morning.
Jeri is hedging about coming and I'd rather camp than cabin if I'm solo but I can't come until Friday night.
If that's complicated I'll just go to the cabin Fri night or Sat morning.

Horror movie out in the middle of the woods...sounds awesome Dave!

i'm in for camping, i'll have dvd movies for the other campers, maybe i could be inticed into pulling my projector from my office and having a big screening in the woods for everyone... who wants to be singalized!

dave

Dave,

We thought about doing that when our Erskine group went. The bald camp sites will not allow the use of a screen, it is wayyy too windy up there.
The site by the creek could work, if there is no bad weather. Personally I would not pring such an expensive item out.

Matt, you could be one of the few to preview a 2007 Sundance seller! Lab601 co-produced it.

But honestly I'd rather sit around the fire, cause it's gonna be cold! Do you think it's gonna be colder around the balds or down by the creek. Marshall and I were contemplating that one.

The last time I went in Oct, we stayed up just past one of the balds, kinda tucked into the side of the mountain. You could see the Blue Ridge Pkwy from there at night, so it was on the very north edge of the trail system. I think if we circle the rigs around the open side of the site we could block most of the wind.

Suggestion from a sailor: Wait until Wed/Thurs, check the detailed weather, find out the winds for that time. I have a site that will give it hourly. Tell me the closest town (Cullowhee NC?) and I'll do that for us.

Dave, I can also offer up my LCD in the truck to play your vids in heated comfort...and in surround sound! I have RCA jacks, etc built in. ;)

cool, ive got this crazy truck tent that is pretty big that hooks to the bak of the fj, havent used it yet but we could have a little living room setup for viewing too.

btw, how many posts you gotta have on this thing before you can add a avatar?

I have a... ummmmm.... a soft top and some wires hanging down under the dash that don't do anything?

But I'll take some video and watch!

b/t/w Rick, Linda and Kristen won't be coming so I'll be able to pack what I need.

It will be colder on the balds. Wind is always worse up there and you are out in the open unless you go up where you are talking about.

The creek site was great, but the views are not near as nice.

You have to have 10 posts or a star for a avatar.

Thanks for the comment Andy, I thought someone would love it. :)
