Weekend bump.... New exhaust, new brakes, new shocks, perfect entry wrencher/wheeler. Don't be afraid of the alarm, it's a simple 1/2 day job. No time on my end, too many other duties in life...
People pay more for the earlier FJ80's with the F engine and without the floating rear axle and other updates. Those don't have lockers either. Doesn't make sense no one has bought this yet. It's way better than those early FJ80's.
Scratching my head too... This rig runs and drives really nice, just needs some lovin. Interior is clean, third row seats intact. If I have time Ill flush the tranny this week. 1FZE is WAY better than 3FE (imo), better fuel mileage, smoother, etc. rear discs too.
Can't believe this isn't gone for $2000. Then again, I can't seem to sell a nice running, rust free '94 with lockers and $800 in new tires for $4500... market just sucks right now.

Head gasket schmed gasket. Our 96 has 225 and no hg issues. Preventative maintenance is a great thing, but not every 80 has these issues. If it was a 3.slow V6 I'd have to agree.
This truck runs great, no HG issues whatsoever that I know of. NH plates cause I never registered it simply because I changed directions and refuse to spend 4-500 dollars on reg and insurance to sell a vehicle. If anyone would like to pay for ins and reg I will be happy to spend an afternoon in DMV for you. No need though, I have signed title from previous owner. If you are worried about HG, I'll be happy to install one, figure on the price doubling.
