Critters seem to like my Pro Comp (same tire). This time a poor 6 legged arachnid.

That is a VW bus. Check the hub caps for the VW. May be a panel version that been modified to a camper. VW made a lot of version of the bus over the years. Back in the sixties my sister had a flat bed with fold down sides.

Spent a week in Nashville for a trauma conference. Got to explore a little too, it was absolutely amazing. It’s really funny how there’s almost no off-roading spots in that part of the state. The TN cruiser club pointed me to this area about 45 minutes west of town. Haha the “trail” was a series of farm roads and crossed a creek about 50 times. Not complaining, it was beautiful but was hoping to see what the rental F150 4X4 could do. She did just fine on this.

Scottsdale G Wagon owners sure do get creative. Red chrome wrapped with a black hood stripe. Huge wheels and lo pro tires in typical mall fashion

Well that last Land Cruiser video led to another and another and then finally to this one.

Truly remarkable young girl - I'd wager 95% of girls her age couldn't change a flat tire.

My dad made sure my sisters could change a flat and do an oil change, but nothing as involved as this.

In some countries a tire change is part of getting a license

As for the video rebuilding a Toyota 4 piston caliper is a HUGE PIA even on a bench much less while on the vehicle.

Wish I had a photo, but seeing the young girl doing the repairs reminded me of an incident. Many years ago (10 plus) I was going up into the mountains south of Flagstaff for a camping trip. Water pump seized up about 10 miles outside of the camping site. Had it towed in. My adopted daughter volunteered to swap it out then and there. I let her, since she was a mechanic at Desert Toyota. Ain't life grand? I have a memory of her diving into the engine while wearing her middle ages outfit at a Society for Creative Anachronism event.

She gave up the wrenching gig. I will be attending her graduation from the U of A in December. She is going to be a music teacher. Never know what people can do, eh?
