(no shine actually required but doesn't hurt!) FOOD & RAFFLE ☼

Just like last year from 11am to ? on Saturday December 3rd, 2016. Location is 1550 E. Camelback Road at Camelback Toyota. It will be located on the front SE corner of the lot.

Includes parking our Land Cruisers on the corner of the lot at Camelback Rd/16th street for visibility. Kind of like a Land Cruiser Expo. Also CBT will be setting up a couple pop ups and cooking up lunch right there next to the CSC trucks.

This would also be open to people coming in to check out the “classic Toyotas” and helping themselves to the plentiful food...

* Of course the idea is CBT would like to cover a couple bases here:

1) To show appreciation for the business the club brings to our dealership by having a staffed lunch station gilling up burgers and dogs, chips, and sodas. We will also have some small handouts/raffle gifts.
2) Showcase the “Classic Toyotas” and how they are cool (!), the Toyota heritage, the quality and longevity of the product.
3) Obviously the idea is also that the LC’s would create some interest from passers by...

You are encouraged to bring any and all gear if you want: camp trailers, open up your roof top tent, or awning, etc. Bring it on! Bring your appetite and good spirit~

**we are also going to gather frozen turkeys like last year for St. Vincent DePaul food bank for the holiday push they work so hard to help the underpriviledged** Please bring a bird! ***
I'm in

I missed last year :( but that ain't happening this year! :bounce: Hope to see everyone there! :flipoff2: Really looking forward to it!

**NO NEED TO BRING TURKEYS THIS YEAR *** CBT's food bank turkey drive is falling on a different weekend.

thanks anyway~

Even though it's happening on a different weekend, should we still try to contribute as a club? Maybe have a few members setup collection points then deliver to CBT?

I agree with @Otter , is there something we could do like toy donation or canned food drive that would benefit our community within the state

Great idea, Let me look into something less perishable. I will post up later after checking with our coordinator ,

I Love the charitable nature of Copper State Cruisers!

*UPDATE* Our charity this year is Mary Ellen's Place (<click for website) a place to prevent homelessness for our women veterans who need a helping hand getting back on track. Its local , small, and all the money goes 100% straight to the charity unlike some others.

PLEASE bring some items to help this worthy cause. I know CSC is community minded and this can help us make a difference in peoples lives.

Thank you!

Here is a list of needed items*. You can bring them down the day of the event and drop them in the donation boxes - these items, along with additional food and financial donations, we will present to this charity later in December.
FOOD
* Canned veggies, fruit, and meat * Pasta and Pasta sauce
* Soup * Cereal *Peanut Butter
* Condiments * Instant Rice * Bisquick Mix
PERSONAL
* Shampoo * Conditioner * hand Soap * Feminine Hygiene items
* Razors * Shaving Cream * body Wash * Hand lotion
* Tooth Paste and Tooth brushes * Deoderant * Sun Screen * Chap stick
MISC
*Dish Soap * Liquid Laundry Soap * 13 gallon trash bags * Toilet Paper
* Windex * Paper Towles * surface cleaner

Any help, Big or Small, will be certainly appreciated by these veterans

I am planning to attend this event...

Talking to Brice he made a great suggestion that I'd like to throw out there. Since we have a lot of members and looky-loos at this event, we noticed quite a few people looking at each rig and wondering aloud about some of the details. I think it would be nice to either write or print up a simple fact sheet about your vehicle and post it on the drivers window. Here is the format we came up with using Brice's 200 as the example.

Year/Make/model: 2014 Land Cruiser 200 (URJ200)
Owners first name /MUD name: Brice / Brices123
Miles: 29,300 miles
Features:
  • 2015 Tundra TRD 18” rims, White Knuckle Off-road sliders
  • LED interior lights
  • Trailer brake controller
Fun fact(s): Used as my wife's daily driver (“I love driving a big girl car!”) and driven off-road (Crackerjack, Flowing Springs, Sheep’s Bridge). Commonly hauls our four daughters and occasionally our two labradors.

Fill in/add to your own particular information as you see fit ~ Fun facts could also include where you've taken your truck, how/where you found it, CSC/ TLCA #'s, etc.

The name/MUD name will also act as a name badge of sorts for members since its not easy to cross reference names/Mud name/vehicle

Anyone else bringing a trailer?

We are. But only one LC.

The detail sheet for the window is a cool idea. Would be cool if the club could put together an official printed logo'd sign type thing for each member for future events and even club meetings to help socialize everyone and their truck too. I've seen these at air shows.

Well I am not bringing a trailer to meet. My buddy forgot that he said I could borrow it and is taking it camping. :bang:The detail sheet is an awesome idea.

Here is a .pdf document that I used and a .png of the CSC logo if you want to add it to your sheet.

I think a CSC flag/banner for meet ups would be an idea? not for this meet obviously too soon - but for future events/meets/gatherings? CSC treasurer approve this idea?

FORECAST FOR SATURDAY IS SUNNY AND 62 DEGREES :D

perfect for hanging out and BBQ
