What happened to the corner lens @bottombracket ?

I guess diesels like to vibrate things loose. I had the same thing happen in Big Bend. I had to borrow a screw from the rear trim piece that holds the carpet down for the drive home.

Yeah, so when I tore the front end apart last night to do the radiator, I knew that I was missing a couple of sheet metal screws holding the front end together. I thought the grill need it all four in front. Turns out the corner lamp didn’t have any! I found it only when I got home tonight, because I heard some weird clunking as I drove home…

I had already ordered all 14 sheet metal screws that Partsouq had in stock this morning.

Guess I’ll use a little duct tape until the new screws come in.

I got to sneak out of the hospital during daylight hours and have lunch with @davegonz today. We were climbing back into our trucks after lunch, and as luck would have it, a guy stopped us to talk. Turns out he has an 80 himself and needs a rear bumper after he got rear ended. Who knows, maybe we’ll see him on MUD soon?
