This is an FYI for those attending the event:
US Hwy 50 between Gunnison and Montrose will have very limited access for traffic. Per the Gunny County website, after 07/08/24 access will only be 6:30am-8:30am and 4:30pm-6:30pm. Vehicles pulling trailers will not be allowed.

Those of you who planned to take this route might want to consider going to Durango and then directly north into Silverton. Or, you can have a bit of fun by driving to Lake City, then use Engineer or Cinnamon Pass to go into Silverton from the north side of town but not towing anything.

If you are going via I-70 west from Denver, there could be potential traffic delays on I-70 at Floyd Hill due to major construction, a few miles west of Evergreen. If the traffic delays are significant, you can take Hwy 6 from Golden to the west side of Floyd Hill. Taking 103 from Evergreen to Idaho Springs will take longer (1 hour).

I'll be pulling my turtleback trailer and going through Durango. Love that whole area. Picture included of a section of Imogene.
