If I am correct on this approach, then it will help the attendees. I highly recommend you keep old engine air filters. When you start on a dusty trail, swap out the air filters for the old one. That way if it becomes saturated with a lot of dust, just knock it out, and swap back the newer one when it's time to go home.

Added "Whiskey on the Rocks sponsored by Gamiviti" to the event schedule for Thursday evening.

Come join us on the deck of the lodge at Crockies HQ and watch the sunset over Silverton while sampling some fine whiskeys provided by @nakman from Gamiviti and the COTR Trail Leaders! There will also be some awesome commemorative swag you will not want to miss out on!

The 2008 Salsa Red and Davis family are coming!!

I want to encourage anyone considering registering though they do not have trail experience and/or added gear for your rig. We've had our 2008 over most of the trails in the area - 100% stock. Yes, trail experience on some of those roads will make a huge with staying safe. However, you'll have plenty of guides to help. For once, it will be nice to see a long line of Land Cruisers tackling a trail instead of the usual glamped-up Jeep with all the fixins' on it, with a driver scared to death (nothing wrong with that).

Don't forget to bring your old engine air filter. Use it on the trail cuz it'll become dusty.

Most definitely. You do not need a built rig or experience to have a great time at this event. There will be something for everyone every day! My first real off-road experience (that wasn't South Ga mud) was at HIH8 2018 in Silverton. I had a pretty built up 100 at that point, but I skipped HIH7 because I thought my truck wasn't built enough. I kick myself all time for missing that year. I would have been more than fine in a stock cruiser.

Don't miss out on a great experience like I did.

There are limited spots left for CRUISERS ON THE ROCKIES !!!

Welcome emails will go out to registered drivers next week with updates and some general event info. Also you can expect a series of emails leading up to the event with info and what to expect about different topics such as event camping, trail selection, group activities (welcome party, potluck dinner, raffle night, cornhole tournament), dinners, swap meet, trail communications, etc. One of the main goals when I started COTR was to make sure everyone that came to the event never felt lost or out of place. It's a big family and I want to make sure everyone feels welcome and never out of place.

JIC you missed it earlier in the thread we use SCHED online to do trail selection. This will go up 3-4 weeks prior to the start of the event. You will be able to see trail ratings, descriptions, trail leaders, meet up spots, and radio channel/frequincies for each run. You can pick and choose trails and change anytime up until the run starts from your desktop or mobile device.
