March Social - Cruisers & Coffee
What
: Casual gathering of Cruiserheads and maybe a light run through Demonte Ranch Highlands.
When: Saturday March 6, 2021 @ 9AM
Where: The Human Bean, 3915 S McCarran Blvd, Reno, NV 89502
Bring: Land Cruisers! Chairs, dress warm, lunch, trails coms and recovery gear if you plan to do the run after coffee.

Details:
This is a public event hosted by Battle Born Cruisers so non-Toyota based vehicles may show up. All are welcome! The access road (Alexander Lake Road) to Demonte Ranch wilderness is nearby and some folks may elect to do a short run up the mountains. The trail can connect up to Virginia Highlands and dump us out on 341 at Cartwright and there are several scenic overlooks of Reno/Tahoe and places for folks to run around and head back the way we came.

Well, now you've got me interested in the trail. I'd love to see how Damonte connects to the VCH.

I've been up to the second sharp uturn so about half way through. The rest will be a mystery adventure.

It's a fun trip I'm putting this on my calendar.

Stocker friendly? Or would I need the 40? It's looking a little cold with the possibility of rain so I'm thinking of bringing the 80. HA! I love saying that --- bringing the 80.

I took the Bronco up last time I went so the 80 should be fine.

Yeah I was going to say this should be stocker friendly. I don't think I had done anything to the 60 the first time I went out there.. She did it fine with saggy springs and small street tires.

I will have to pull up on Gaia but Cartwright is on the way to the Petroglyphs correct?
Yep. We have used it to get to Lousetown Rd which takes you out to the petroglyphs. We will be coming back out that way on this little run.

Ok that is what I thought... My niece and bro have been wanting to hit the petroglyphs so if they come with me I may peel off and hit the petroglyph site.

Split the difference! Come have coffee and skip the run after to go work on the 40.
I'll probably burn sage brush in the AM and work on the 40 in the PM.
