I've purchased and am planning on instaling the 3" lift @cruiseroutfit offers. Seem's like I read somewhere that people were getting about 4" of lift, not the advertised 3". I can't find the reference now for some reason. Looking for responses from those of you that have experience with this lift and real world lift gains to help me choose tire height.
I went with the ultimate light duty kit and will be installing on my 1974 FJ55.

Thanks in advance,
Justin

I bought the complete @cruiseroutfit kit in 2014 and believe it’s still one of the best modifications I’ve done on my pig, as far as the actual height above stock I’m not sure if any of us that have the kit have a real number to give you. I can say it raised my pig 3.5”ish over the factory springs that had unknown amount of sag after the 38 years they had been in use.

I will say you need to be prepared to add caster either with shims or cut and turn, my pig was wicked sketchy to drive over 45 MPH after I installed the kit but settled down nicely after I added caster.

This is right after I installed the kit. FYI, I had ordered the light kit and didn't like the slight stink bug look so Kurt sold me the leaf to convert my fronts to heavy. (It has a Small Block Chevy engine in this picture)

Thanks for the response and info. What size tires are those in the picture?

Also, if you added caster shims, what shims are you running?
